LSC SHOW N’ GO BIKE RIDE

Saturday May 4, 2024

Sunday May 5th Rain Date

Cycle on the Enola Low Grade Trail, located just five miles south of Columbia, PA. Ride up to 16 miles round trip with magnificent views of the Susquehanna River and Safe Harbor Dam. C’mon out and have some fun with LSC!

Feel Free to Register Online or - -

Just “SHOW” up and be ready

to “GO” by 10:00am.

We’ll be starting at the Enola Low Grade Trail Head, 2501 River Road, Conestoga, located five miles south of Columbia on River Road at 10AM. Riding to Coleman Church Road Trail Head and back will bag about 16 miles of some of the best views and scenery Southern Lancaster County has to offer.

Five miles into the ride, we cross the Safe Harbor Trestle Bridge, built in 1904, spans the Conestoga River where it flows into the Susquehanna River. The bridge was recently resurfaced and now connects the Enola Low Grade Trail with the Atlgen Trail for 26 miles through Quarryville and ending in the Atglen/Christiana area.

This flat, tree and rock cliff lined trail follows the Susquehanna River past Safe Harbor Dam and into the woods toward Pequea.  Ride in either or both directions for as long or far as you want.  There are a couple of “job johnnies” along the trail and at the Park. Mountain, Road, or Hybrid bicycles are appropriate on the crushed gravel surface.

Apres’ Ride - For anyone interested, we’ll plan to gather around 1pm for lunch and some well-earned beverages at Union Station Grill, 173 S 4th  Street, Columbia at 1pm. Please RSVP as attending on this site so we know how many seats to reserve.

NOTE:  For further information or questions, please call or email Holly Labrasca at 717-672-8283, holly.L@frontiernet.net. This ride is suitable for beginners and experienced riders. We will split the group as needed to accommodate all levels. There are also plenty of hiking trails in the area for those who prefer foot traffic!

The trail head is at the bottom (north)of Turkey Hill below the large wind machines. Look for parking signs on the right side south of Washington Boro along River Road.
